About Breeder/Trainer
I strive to breed healthy puppies of exceptional quality. I select my dogs for breeding based on their health, stamina, talent for performance, stable outgoing temperament, biddability and drive to please. My dogs are members of my family and live with me at home. They are high-scoring competition dogs and have multiple performance titles, perfect scores, High In Trial, and performance awards. I breed my dogs seldom and usually because I plan on keeping a pup of the next generation for myself. All my dogs have extensive health clearances and the results are accurately recorded and openly shared. I am proud to be awarded Breeder of Merit status by American Kennel Club in 2016.
I'm a professional dog trainer and teach competition obedience classes and scent work at the Premier Dog Sports and Event Center in Lancaster, NY. To me, training dogs is a form of art. As long as I remember I have been fascinated by the ability of animals, dogs in particular, to understand what is asked of them and perform various tasks in response to stimuli. My first experience in a canine sports competition was when I started training my first German Shepherd, Beshka for the Extreme Canine Sport (100 meters sprint with obstacles, military-style agility, and protection) in 1981. In a couple of years, we became members of the First Belarusian Extreme Canine Sport team and began competing on the National level. It was an amazing experience of true teamwork with my dog and other team members that taught me many valuable lessons and helped me to understand dogs’ behavior on a deeper level.
